Moirai

Legends Of Odyssey

Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 August 2026 · Version 1.0

Moirai: Legends Of Odyssey does not collect personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics. Your voyage is written on your device and stays there.

  • No account and no sign-in of any kind
  • No analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs
  • No advertising identifier and no device fingerprinting
  • No data sold, shared or brokered — ever
  • The game plays fully offline
  • Deleting the app deletes everything it kept

I Scope

This policy covers the iOS application Moirai: Legends Of Odyssey for iPhone and iPad, distributed through the App Store, and this website. It describes what the game stores, what leaves your device, and what never does.

It does not cover Apple's own handling of your App Store purchase, download or device backups — that is governed by Apple's privacy policy, and we receive no personal information from it. We are never told who bought or installed the game.

II What the game keeps on your device

Moirai is a single-player, offline game. Everything it records is written to the app's own private storage area on your device, which no other app can read. None of it is transmitted to us or to anyone else.

WhatWhy it exists
Your traveller — name, lineage, the six M.O.I.R.A.I. stats, Vigour and BreathSo a run can be resumed where you left it
Voyage progress — act, decisions taken, Kleos and Nostos standing, ward favour, satchel contentsThe save itself
Chronicle records — endings reached, codex entries unsealed, diversion resultsTo show what you have seen across runs
A portrait image, if you choose to set oneDrawn on the traveller's wax tablet
Preferences — language, sound, haptics, narration speed, motion and notification choicesSo the game opens the way you left it

A name you type for your traveller is treated as game content, not as an identity. It is stored exactly like the rest of the save and is never sent anywhere.

III Permissions the game may request

Each permission is attached to one feature and is requested only at the moment that feature is used. All three are optional, and declining any of them leaves the rest of the game fully playable.

Camera

Used only to take a portrait photograph for your traveller's wax tablet, at the moment you ask for one. The image is written into the app's private storage on your device. There is no upload, no face recognition, no biometric analysis and no background capture.

Photo library

Used to let you choose an existing image as a portrait, and to save Chronicle pages and ending scrolls back to your library. The game reads only the specific item you select — it does not browse, scan or index your library.

Notifications

Used to send an occasional local reminder when a voyage has gone quiet. These are local notifications, scheduled on the device by the app itself. There is no push server, no notification token is transmitted, and no message is composed anywhere but on your device.

You may grant or withdraw any of these at any time in Settings › Moirai on your device. Withdrawing a permission does not delete anything already saved; to remove a portrait, replace or clear it inside the game.

IV What is not collected

To be explicit, because vagueness in this section is how policies mislead. The game contains no code that gathers, derives or transmits any of the following:

  • Names, email addresses, postal addresses or phone numbers
  • Contacts, calendars, reminders, health data, or files outside the app's own storage
  • Precise or coarse location, including anything inferred from an IP address
  • The advertising identifier (IDFA), the vendor identifier (IDFV), or any device fingerprint
  • Usage analytics, crash telemetry, session recordings or heat maps
  • Purchase history, payment details or financial information
  • Third-party advertising, attribution or social-network SDKs — the app bundles none

Nothing is sold, rented, brokered or shared for advertising or for cross-context behavioural purposes. There is no category of personal information that we disclose for any business purpose, because there is none to disclose.

V If you choose to write to us

The only moment information leaves your device is one you start yourself: sending a message from the support page on this site.

When you submit that form, we receive exactly what you typed into it — your name, the reply address you gave, the topic you selected, any device, iOS and game version details you chose to add, and your message. Our server also records the time of submission and the standard request metadata every web server logs, such as the IP address the request arrived from.

We use that information for one purpose: to understand the problem and reply to you. It is not added to a marketing list, not used for profiling and not passed to third parties.

The game itself attaches nothing to a support message. No save file, crash log, identifier or device fingerprint is collected or sent — anything technical we learn is what you decided to write down.

Support correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful for handling your request and any follow-up, normally no more than 24 months, and is then deleted. You may ask us to delete it sooner.

VI Children

Moirai: Legends Of Odyssey is rated for teenagers and older and is not directed at children under 13. Because the game collects no personal data at all, it collects none from children either.

If a child writes to us through the support page, we handle their message solely to answer it and delete it once the matter is closed. A parent or guardian may ask us to delete such a message at any time.

VII Retention and deletion

Everything the game stores

Your save, Chronicle, portrait and preferences remain on your device until you remove them. There is no expiry, because there is no server holding a copy.

  • To clear the current run, open Settings inside the game and reseat the threads.
  • To remove everything at once — save, Chronicle, portrait and preferences — delete the app from your device.

Neither action requires our involvement or a request to us, and neither can be undone. If you restore an encrypted device backup made while the game was installed, the save comes back with it; that backup is held by Apple or by your own computer, never by us.

Support correspondence

Handled as described in section V, and deleted on request.

VIII Your rights

Depending on where you live, data protection law — including the GDPR in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, and the CCPA/CPRA in California — gives you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to receive a copy of it in a portable form. Exercising any right never results in worse service or a different price.

In practice these rights have almost nothing to attach to here: game data never reaches us, so there is nothing on our side to access, export or erase, and you can delete all of it yourself in the ways described above. Where we do hold something — a support message you sent us — you may ask us to provide a copy of it or delete it, and we will do so within the period the applicable law allows, normally 30 days.

Our lawful basis for handling a support message is our legitimate interest in answering the person who contacted us, and the performance of that request itself. Since we hold no identifiers, we may be unable to connect a request to any data other than correspondence you can point us to.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

IX Security and international transfers

Game data is protected by iOS itself: each app's storage is sandboxed away from other apps and is covered by the device encryption that applies when your device is locked with a passcode. Keeping your device updated and passcode-protected is the most effective safeguard available for it.

Messages sent from the support page travel over an encrypted HTTPS connection and are stored on access-controlled servers. Our support infrastructure may process such messages outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area; where that happens, transfers are made under appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

No transmission or storage system is perfect, and no one can promise absolute security. What we can do is hold as little as possible, which is the strongest protection there is.

X Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes — anything that would alter what the game stores, what it requests, or what leaves your device — will be described plainly here and, where the law requires it, presented in the app before the change takes effect.

Questions about this policy can be raised through the support page; choose the privacy topic and we will answer there.
